Ashbourne Farms

Ashbourne Farms is a 2,250 acre third-generation farm situated in the bluegrass of
La Grange, Kentucky just outside of Louisville and directly in the middle of bourbon country. Ashbourne Farms was restored to the splendor of its heyday by the grandson of this beloved Kentucky bourbon family. Today, it is a working cattle and produce farm, nature preserve, hunting lodge and luxury event center that is listed on the national historic registry.

The Challenge

Tell the story visually and verbally of Ashbourne Farms, its legacy and current chapter.  Ensure this message reaches the right audience that will help build business for its new offering as a luxury and corporate events facility. Develop a brand identity that captures the splendor of this luxury property and use the original elements to respect the 100 year old brand.

The Solution

In collaboration with the Musselman family, we did a deep dive into the history and family legacy that permeates this stunning Kentucky property. From there, we developed a brand story that incorporated the history and legacy of Ashbourne’s founding family members. Visually, we used elements of the original Scottish family crest to create a logo that was both regal and historically relevant. With brand message and identity in place, we tackled packaging for Ashbourne’s farm products, signage, social media, photography styling and website.
